Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a central nervous system (CNS) disease with high disability rate, and reconstructing motor function after SCI remains global challenge. Recent advancements in rehabilitation regenerative medicine offer new approaches to repair. Electrical stimulation has been shown alter cell membrane charge distribution, generating action potentials, affecting behavior. This method aids axon regeneration neurotrophic factor upregulation, crucial for nerve Biomaterials, used as scaffolds or coatings culture tissue engineering, enhance proliferation, migration, differentiation, regeneration. Electroactive biomaterials combined electrical show promise regenerating nerve, heart, bone tissues.
