Abstract The development of coordination‐based host for the detection heavy metal ions in aqueous medium is a challenging task. We report 1,8‐naphthalimide‐based pseudo‐crown ether which possess hexaethylene glycol chain selective binding Pd 2+ and Fe 3+ with higher affinity over ions. lowest limits are 2.5 nM 15 nM, respectively. Job's Hill plot showed 1 : stochiometric complexation between NHG :M n+ constants 1.4×10 4 M −1 (Pd ) 1.5×10 3 (Fe ). CIE 90 % blue colour purity CHCl solution. In solid‐state, blue‐green 52.7 green high quantum yield (ϕ=0.0643). flake‐like aggregates transformed into spherical structure upon interaction as confirmed by microscopic light scattering studies.

Abstract In this investigation, meso ‐substituted one‐walled phthalimide appended calix[4]pyrrole ( m Pth–C4P) was prepared from pthalimide functionalized dipyrromethane (DPM, 4 ), acetone, and freshly distilled pyrrole via both conventional as well green protocols utilizing the deep eutectic solvent (DES) of N,N' ‐dimethyl urea (DMU) & l ‐(+)‐tartaric acid (TA) in an appropriate ratio 7:3. order to lessen nitrate (NO 3 − ) ion endowed eutrophication peril, Pth–C4P effectively employed a supramolecular adsorbent for sequestration NO aquatic phase. The extensively characterized by FTIR, 1 H‐NMR, SEM–EDX, elemental mapping corroborate synthesis adsorption ion. surface area found be 11.465 2 g −1 pore size 3.2 nm, pointed out mesoporous nature Pth–C4P. Abstract Owing to the giant significance of organic dyes in both analytical as well supramolecular chemistry, here, we report an efficient and green methodology for preparation indicator dyes, namely fluorescein phenolphthalein. This particular method involves inexpensive, reusable, biodegradable deep eutectic solvent (DES) choline chloride (ChCl) zinc (ZnCl 2 ) a ratio 1 : 2, furnish corresponding with appropriate stoichiometry easily accessible starting materials. Strikingly, this procedure, DES played two‐fold role catalyst was efficiently recycled four successive runs no substantial cascading yields anticipated products. simple yet environmentally realistic protocol, our best knowledge, is first method, whereby has been employed successful any dye molecule date. Hopefully, novel procedure dye(s) synthesis will be much importance not only from researchers perspective, but it also provide new way undergraduate postgraduate level experiments.

Abstract The Ce-Mn binuclear LDH was prepared at four different molar ratios of Ce to Mn (1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4), modified with both 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (CPTMS) andN-amino-phthalimide (NAP), complexed Cu(II), characterized by the FT-IR, ICP, XPS, XRD, BET, UV/Vis, EDX, SEM, SEM-mapping, TEM, TGA-DTA techniques. BET UV-vis techniques showed that 1:4 ratio is best ratio, therefore it used as a heterogeneous nanocatalyst for green synthesis fourteen spiro[acridine-indole]triones from three-component condensation reaction isatin, aniline, 1,3-diketone in mild conditions. advantages this method include absence harmful organic solvents, easy separation catalyst products, rapid achievement excellent yields. Furthermore, activity maintained even after consecutive runs without significant loss activity.
