In this new study, the inhibitory effectiveness of two bio-inhibitor mixtures has been studied on corrosion characteristics carbon steel in an HCl environment. The inhibitors were derived from a plant seed (quinoa seed-QS) and insect extract (Oestrus ovis larvae-OOL). total inhibitor concentration was variable factor even ratio fixed parameter. electrochemical behavior substrate investigated through Tafel polarization impedance spectroscopy measurements. Fourier transform infrared field emission scanning electron microscopy performed to identify bonds analyze morphology corroded surface steel. Additionally, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation quantum calculations applied investigate influence utilized bio-inhibitors. experimental results indicated that resistance decreased 85% when optimum 1 g L-1. Langmuir model used illustrate adsorption mechanism physical occurred. Quantum chemical revealed QS-inhibitor adsorbed more effectively onto metal than OOLE-inhibitor, due part lower energy gap higher HOMO energy. MD Monte Carlo further confirmed Fe (110) with OOLE-inhibitor.

Equimolar reactions of Zn 2+ and Cd acetates with the carbothiohydrazide, [2‐HO‐C 6 H 4 ‐C(H) = N‐N(H)‐C(=S)‐N(C 2 ) O] chelating agent ( L have produced binuclear [M(L)] metal chelates. The isolated compounds been evaluated by elemental analyses, XRD, molar conductivities, 1 13 C‐NMR, FTIR, FAB‐MS, UV–Vis, thermal analyses. crystal structure has resolved indicates presence exclusively in its E conformer regarding C(H) N bond. Elemental analyses conductance data indicated that investigated chelates are nonelectrolytes were formed M:2 stoichiometry. FT‐IR along H‐NMR spectral gave evidence for a di‐anionic bonded central ions via azomethine N, deprotonated phenolic O, thiolate S atoms. anti‐corrosion performance protecting carbon steel (CS) 15% HCl aqueous solution using electrochemical examination (EIS PDP), surface (SEM XPS) theoretical approach (DFT calculations MC simulation). results revealed [Zn(L)] complexes remarkably performed an inhibition efficiency about 94.7%, which was better than those [Cd(L)] complex (93.0%) (88.2%), respectively. EIS gradual rise charge transfer resistance (R ct concentration, while PDP proved mixed‐type cathodic advantage consistent Langmuir adsorption model. It verified (II) could adsorb on metallic surface, forming protective layer responsible mitigating corrosion reaction diffusion. This study provided novel inhibitors structures designed developed inhibiting process marked performance. derived from various methodologies contribute to substantiated interpretation mechanism inhibition.
