Presently, numerous state-of-the-art approaches are being adapted for gas sensing and monitoring. These include hazardous leak detection as well ambient air Photoionization detectors, electrochemical sensors, optical infrared sensors a few of the commonly widely used technologies. Extensive reviews on current state have been summarized. which either nonselective or semiselective, affected by unwanted analytes. On other hand, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can be heavily mixed in many vapor intrusion situations. To determine individual VOCs highly sample using semiselective separation discrimination technologies warranted. permeable membranes, metal-organic frameworks, microfluidics IR bandpass filters different respectively. The majority these currently developed evaluated laboratory-controlled environments not yet extensively utilized field show promise continued development application more complex mixtures. Hence, present review focuses perspectives summary existing popular reported environmental applications.
