Functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) have been widely investigated in the fields of nanotechnology and material science, owing to their high surface area, diverse structure, controllable cavity, biocompatibility, ease modification. In past few years, great efforts devoted preparing functionalized MSNs for biosensing applications with satisfactory performance. The functional structure composition synthesis play important roles With development units rationally incorporated into structures, which endow design flexibility multifunctionality. Here, an overview recent developments as nanocarriers is provided, including methodologies preparation nanostructures physicochemical properties MSNs, well latest trends use biosensing. Finally, prospects challenges are presented.
