Dynamically cross-linked polyolefins represent a sustainable and high-performance polyolefin material that attracts great attention. In this work, series of cross-linkable norbornenyl copolymers with tunable acetoacetate-terminated comonomer compositions are successfully synthesized via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP). Furthermore, the resulting can be cured primary amine cross-linker to form vinylogous urethane (VU) containing cyclic olefin vitrimers, providing opportunities for enhanced properties. Our results demonstrate tailoring constitutional unit linear is viable strategy designing vitrimers cross-linking density, which used regulate thermomechanical properties markedly. Moreover, evidence manifests density free groups play vital roles in dynamic VU-based vitrimers.

Abstract Traditional chemically cross‐linked polymer materials may cause severe environmental pollution and economic losses due to the difficulty of recycling. Vitrimers containing reversible dynamic covalent bonds are processable, recyclable, self‐healing. In this article, a bio‐based epoxy resin curing agent is synthesized by hydrolysis using cellulose as raw material. The results show that vitrimers with best ratio have lower topological transition temperature fast relaxation time at 140 °C. After soaking in solvent for 90 days, gel content material greater than 81%. glass sample measured differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) 83 It also has high initial decomposition (350 °C) good flexibility resistance, showing its performance coating paint.

Abstract Natural rubber (NR) distinguishes itself from a synthetic one in that it contains non‐rubber components and is subject to strain‐induced crystallization (SIC). Non‐rubber may have great influence on the physicochemical properties SIC behavior of NR. However, underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This work uses protease treat so as control their content. The mechanical properties, dynamic kinetics resulting NR are compared. treatment shortens solidification time latex. Thus, higher phospholipid content retained. A yields better properties. Protease‐treated shows at lower strain crystallinity same strain. indicates phospholipids greater impact than proteins, namely they speed up vulcanization SIC.

Thermally conductive composites were prepared based on epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) filled with alumina, silica, and hybrid alumina silica. The thermal conductivity mechanical properties assessed. It was observed that the interactions of polar functional groups in fillers epoxy group ENR supported a fine dispersion filler matrix. improved alumina/silica loadings. ENR/Silica composite at 50 phr silica provided highest 60 shore A hardness, maximum 100% modulus up to 0.37 MPa, tensile strength 27.3 while ENR/Alumina gave best conductivity. 25/25 significantly an composite. That is, ENR/Hybrid 2.23 W/mK, much higher than gum (1.16 W/mK). experimental results further analyzed using ANOVA it found showed significant increases compared ENR. Moreover, contributed when both composites. system also favors process ability energy savings. As result, is alternative thermally elastomeric material expensive silicone rubber, could have commercial applications fabrication electronic devices, solar conversion, rechargeable batteries, sensors.
