Biomass–derived carbon materials doped with diverse heteroatoms have demonstrated huge potentials for environment and energy applications, thanks to the availability, preferable porous channel structures, excellent conductivity stability. In this work, fiberboard waste containing resin–based adhesive was selected green fabrication of N–doped catalysts without using extra N–sources. A facile two–step calcination strategy sequential carbonization activation proposed generation exposure indispensable active sites, realizing controllable regulation textural morphological characteristics. The resulting derived (NFC) samples possessed unique hierarchically structures a significantly enlarged surface area, plentiful activity–dependent N species (e.g., graphitic pyridinic N), as well suitable graphitization degree hydrophilicity. As result, favorable adsorption procedure an enhanced accessibility sites synergistically boosted catalytic performance towards hydrogenation reduction nitroaromatics. Taking NFC–hh sample paradigm, 4–nitrophenol (4–NP) reduction, achieving high apparent rate constant 0.40 min−1 impressive turnover frequency ∼0.20 mmol g−1 min−1. Besides, continuous–flowing test exhibited conversion efficiency > 99.50% long–term stability over 100 h, showing attractive prospect industrial application. This work presents new approach value–added utilization biomass waste, provides low–cost high–active catalyst environmental remediation.
