Abstract Albeit mechanochemistry is a novel promising technology that gives access to reactivity under solvent‐free conditions, heating such reactions sometimes compulsory obtain satisfactory results in terms of conversion, selectivity and/or yield. In this work, we developed approach using dye absorbs NIR photons and release the energy as heat. Hence, de novo milling jars epoxy resin doped with were thus produced reactors would produce heat upon irradiation at 850 nm. Temperature profiles recorded, depending on irradiance, charge resin, frequency, showing an excellent control temperature. The usefulness jar was then demonstrated mechanochemical are known require yield desired product, namely Diels–Alder high activation energies newly rearrangement sydnone into corresponding 1,3,4‐oxadiazolin‐2‐one.

Mechanochemical reactions achieved by processes such as milling and grinding are promising alternatives to traditional solution-based chemistry. This approach not only eliminates the need for large amounts of solvents, thereby reducing waste generation, but also finds applications in chemical materials synthesis. The focus this study is on synthesis quinazolinone derivatives ball milling, particular evodiamine rutaecarpine analogues. These compounds interest due their diverse bioactivities, including potential anticancer properties. examines carried out under conditions, emphasizing efficiency terms shorter reaction times reduced environmental impact compared conventional methods. analogues resulted yields 63-78% 22-61%, respectively. Abstract Herein we report our observations from the study of classical Robinson annulation reaction under solvent‐free mechanochemical activation by means high‐speed ball milling. In particular, enantioselective synthesis Wieland‐Miescher ketone was used as model reaction. ( S )‐Proline employed chiral organocatalyst, either alone or in presence additives order to determine their influence on reaction's speed and stereoselectivity. Most interesting, among that were examined, four solvate ionic liquids SIL ) afforded desired product with significantly improved enantioselectivity relative mechanochemically‐activated catalyzed )‐proline alone. Furthermore, required time reduced 3 days 90 min. The potential other proline‐type organocatalysts explored this ball‐milling process. Initial attempts increase scope afford related products unsuccessful. In the present work, we report development of a rapid, efficient, and solvent-free procedure for N-methylation secondary amines under mechanochemical conditions. After optimization milling parameters, vibrational ball mill was used to synthesize 26 tertiary N-methylated amine derivatives in short time 20 min (30 Hz frequency) high yields ranging from 78 95%. An exception compounds having hydroxyl group their structure, which decrease reaction efficiency observed. During our research, investigated alternate selectivity occurring able form ring closure products that are 3,4-dihydro-2H-1,3-benzoxazine instead products. The liquid-assisted grinding technique has been applied using formalin as methylating agent sodium triacetoxyborohydride reducing reductive amination reaction.
