Organophosphorus compounds are fundamental building blocks in organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals, and most notably as optoelectronic materials. In this study, we describe the generation matrix isolation of a dibenzophosphole-based P-centered radical via photolysis or pyrolysis from an iodo precursor Ar, para-hydrogen (p-H2). The is experimentally characterized by infrared (IR), UV/Vis electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. Based on detailed analysis spectroscopic data, supported quantum chemical calculations, P-dibenzophospholyl π-radical with 2B1 electronic ground state, where unpaired resides p-orbital perpendicular to molecular plane some degree density delocalization over aromatic rings. We compared experimental computational results its nitrogen analogue, N-carbazolyl radical, which highly delocalized π-radical.

We have designed novel push–pull systems based on CF3-substituted pyridines and pyrimidines. The photophysical properties of these new fluorophores been examined using both absorption emission spectral analyses in acetonitrile solutions solid states. All proved to exhibit moderate absolute quantum yields up 0.33 0.12 states, depending their specific structures. Most demonstrated significant aggregation-induced behavior, making them suitable as robust low-toxicity bioimaging agents for studies. Comparison with known dyes studies various cell cultures the selectivity obtained visualizing lipid droplets.
