Sulfur dioxide (SO2) dysmetabolism is closely associated with various diseases such as acute kidney injury (AKI). Nevertheless, the relationship between SO2 levels and iodinated contrast-induced AKI remains largely unclear. Therefore, accurate imaging of level fluctuations in vivo therefore critically important. However, no photoacoustic (PA) method currently available for detection SO2. To address this gap, we designed synthesized a PA probe toward SO2, namely, Rho-QL, first time performed situ deep tissues vivo. A novel was accordingly developed 3D visual diagnosis based on high spatial resolution. Rho-QL exhibited response 5 s displayed remarkable turn-on absorption changes at 700 nm, making it suitable detecting via imaging. Moreover, an excellent targeting ability to kidney, thereby facilitating kidney. Notably, through real-time imaging, successfully applied visualization detailed distribution resolution revealed increase during process. Based current findings, expected become powerful tool study AKI-related diseases.

Comprehensive Summary Atherosclerosis is a lipoprotein‐driven disease. In‐depth understanding of pathology and accurate identification are particularly important in clinical assessment treatment due to the irreversibility atherosclerotic plaque formation. not only accompanied by lipid droplets accumulation but also closely related inflammation, which excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) changes microenvironment. However, there still lack simple rapid detection platform simultaneously evaluate multiple indicators atherosclerosis channels. In this study, we propose multicolor imaging probe Cy7P‐B for polarity, H 2 O plaques vivo . sensitive environmental polarity can monitor near‐infrared ratio. Moreover, has /lipid dual‐analyte sequential activation characteristics. Based on multifunctional properties , classical biomarkers plaque, up‐regulation oxidative stress effectively detected plaques, more importantly, change aortic was first time.
