The competitive adsorption of Cl- caused by anode OH- consumption under high current density is an important factor restricting the development alkaline seawater electrolyzer (ASWE). Here, we propose a strategy for rare earth corrosion protection which utilizes oxygen friendly earths that do not participate in reaction to adsorb and maintain surface environment stable anodic catalysis ASWE. Differential electrochemical mass spectrometry (DEMS) quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) were used identify causes chlorine on plate traditional Ni mesh. In situ fluorescence spectra N-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-6-methoxyquinolinium bromide (MQAE) labeled with chloride ion probe, rotating ring disk electrode (RRDE), time-resolved absorption spectrum test recognition mechanism earth. Eu2O3 adsorbs pH inhibits oxidation, thereby exhibiting stability over 1000 h at 500 mA cm-2 density. Furthermore, Eu2O3/FeNi2S4 was assembled into kilowatt-level ASWE 17 chambers total area 1081.5 cm2 operated stably 100 industrial conditions 80 °C 30% KOH. Technical economic analysis (TEA) indicates can enhance service life reduce cost hydrogen production profitable production, providing new approach solve oxidation problem
