Abstract Vat photopolymerization (VPP) of highly aromatic polyurethanes (PUs) expands the library additive manufacturing (AM) materials and enables a vast array ductile thermoplastics, rigid flexible thermosets, elastomers. Aromatic diisocyanates various diols enable printing rigid, cross‐linked parts, which offer high glass transition temperatures tunable thermomechanical performance. The judicious control molecular weight photo‐reactive telechelic oligomers allows for fundamental study influence cross‐link density in 3D PU printed objects. VPP AM produces objects with resolution, smooth surface finish, isotropic mechanical properties. Thermal post‐processing is critical maintaining excellent properties semi‐crystallinity as function density. Due to presence two ester carbonyls bis(2‐hydroxyethyl) terephthalate chain extender, parts are readily amenable depolymerization methanolysis produce difunctional dimethyl dicarbamates under modest reaction conditions. Dimethyl serve suitable monomers subsequent polycondensation.
