Soccer is arguably the most widely followed sport worldwide, and many dream of becoming soccer players. However, only a few manage to achieve this dream, which has cast significant spotlight on elite players who possess exceptional skills rise above rest. Originally, such attention was focused their great physical abilities. recently, new perspective emerged, suggesting that being an player requires deep understanding game, rapid information processing, decision-making. This growing led several studies higher executive functions in compared general population. Unfortunately, these often had small nonelite samples, focusing mainly alone without employing advanced machine learning techniques. In study, we used artificial neural networks comprehensively investigate personality traits cognitive abilities sample 328 participants, including 204 from top teams Brazil Sweden. Our findings indicate demonstrate heightened planning memory capacities, enhanced functions, especially flexibility, elevated levels conscientiousness, extraversion, openness experience, coupled with reduced neuroticism agreeableness. research provides insights into psychology players, holding significance for talent identification, development strategies soccer, psychological linked success.

Abstract The growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) dialogue systems within educational and research settings highlights the importance learning aids. Despite examination ethical concerns associated with these technologies, there is a noticeable gap in investigations on how issues AI contribute to students’ over-reliance systems, such affects cognitive abilities. Overreliance occurs when users accept AI-generated recommendations without question, leading errors task performance context decision-making. This typically arises individuals struggle assess reliability or much trust place its suggestions. systematic review investigates particularly those embedded generative models for academic learning, their critical capabilities including decision-making, thinking, analytical reasoning. By using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, our evaluated body literature addressing contributing factors effects contexts. comprehensive spanned 14 articles retrieved from four distinguished databases: ProQuest, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Web Science. Our findings indicate that stemming impacts abilities, as increasingly favor fast optimal solutions over slow ones constrained by practicality. tendency explains why prefer efficient shortcuts, heuristics, even amidst presented technologies.

Identifying the functional specialization of brain has moved from using cognitive tasks and resting state to ecological relevant, naturalistic movies. We leveraged a large-scale neuroimaging dataset directly investigate hierarchical reorganization activity when watching films compared performing seven resting. A thermodynamics-inspired whole-brain model paradigm revealed generative underlying mechanisms for changing balance in causal interactions between regions different conditions. Paradoxically, hierarchy is flatter movie-watching, level nonreversibility significantly smaller comparison both rest tasks, where latter turn have highest levels nonreversibility. The were by model-based effective connectivity (GEC). Naturalistic could therefore provide fast convenient way measure important changes GEC (integrating anatomical connectivity) found in, example, neuropsychiatric disorders. Overall, this study demonstrates benefits moving toward more neuroscience.

The organization of cerebral networks was estimated within individuals with intensive, repeat sampling fMRI data. A hierarchical emerged in each individual that delineated first-, second-, and third-order cortical networks. Regions distinct association consistently exhibited side-by-side juxtapositions repeated across multiple zones, clear robust functional specialization among the embedded regions.

Objectives Short sleep is becoming more common in modern society. This study aimed to explore the relationship between accelerometer-measured duration and cognitive performance among young adults as well underlying hemodynamic mechanisms. Methods A total of 58 participants were included this study. Participants asked wear an ActiGraph GT3X+ accelerometer identify their for 7 consecutive days. Cognitive function was assessed by Stroop test. Two conditions, including congruent incongruent Stroop, set. In addition, stratified analyses used examine sensitivity. 24-channel functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) equipment applied measure changes prefrontal cortex (PFC) during tasks. Results showed that positively associated with accuracy test (0.001 (0.000, 0.002), p = 0.042). Compared regular (≥7 h) group, lower (−0.012 (−0.023, −0.002), 0.024) observed severe short (<6 h). Moreover, a analysis conducted examining gender, age, BMI, birthplace, education’s impact on accuracy, confirming consistent correlation across all demographics. activation left middle frontal gyri right dorsolateral superior negatively performance. Conclusions emphasized importance maintaining enough schedules college students from fNIRS perspective. The findings could potentially be guide time help them make schemes.
