The COVID-19 pandemic deeply affected healthcare workers, although the impact may have differed according to different workplace contexts. aim of this current research was compare psychopathology presented by hospital versus nursing home workers during and analyse predictive role purpose in life moral courage appearance psychopathology. Few studies have explored empowerment as a predictor of mental health outcomes in geriatric healthcare professionals. This research addresses this gap by using the 'effort-reward imbalance' theory work-related stress to develop comprehensive model, examining role psychological nursing home cross-sectional exploratory study used structural equation modelling (SEM) test model on mediating relationship between effort-reward ratio and burnout, anxiety depression. From 2021 2023, we convenience sampling enrol 280 physicians, nurses other workers from 13 homes France. Self-administered measurements included Psychological Empowerments Scale, Effort-Reward Imbalance Questionnaire, Maslach burnout inventory-Human Services Survey Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale. Of professionals included, 245 had complete data. Findings confirmed direct predictive paths The negative path was significant, depression prediction empowerment. not explained Mediation effects were confirmed. Model fit indices indicated good fit, supporting reducing impact imbalance outcomes, except for anxiety. appears be promising way enhance protect Understanding is first step towards implementing interventions quality care work conditions.

Objectives The COVID-19 pandemic placed health care personnel (HCP) at risk for stress, anxiety, burnout, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). To address this, hospitals developed programs to mitigate risk. objectives of the current study were measure availability use these in a cohort academic emergency departments (EDs) United States early identify factors associated with program use. Methods Cross-sectional survey ED HCP 21 EDs 15 states between June September 2020. Site investigators provided data on 28 grouped into 9 categories. In this study, we employed a pre-interview survey and conducted interviews with nursing home staff members residents/family to understand their perceptions of whether the COVID-19 restrictions fulfilled obligations residents under various principles, including autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, privacy. We 20 semi-structured from 14 facilities, and/or family 13 facilities. used qualitative descriptive study design thematic analysis methodology analyze interviews. Findings indicated that, compared staff, families perceived lower adherence bioethics principles during pandemic. Qualitative themes included specific restrictions, challenges, facility notifications, consequences, communication, relationships between members. Our exposes struggle balance infection control respecting bioethical in homes, suggesting avenues for improving processes policies public health emergencies.
