Pain is a complex, multifaceted sensory–emotional state. It still poses significant challenge in clinical treatment, especially cases of chronic pain. Concerns associated with the use opioids as analgesics have led to search for new and safer pain relievers. This review examines potential lysine control by exploring its molecular mechanisms preclinical evidence implications. Lysine has demonstrated analgesic effects inhibiting NMDA receptors, modulating dopamine serotonin pathways, interfering neuroimmune signaling cascades. Studies animal models shown that administration reduces responses without altering motor function. Despite favorable profile terms minor side promising effectiveness nutritional supplement, more research needed optimize efficacy, adjust dosage, ensure safety long-term use.
