The Peruvian Amazon faces an increasing threat of soil erosion, driven by unsustainable agricultural practices and accelerated deforestation. In Neshuya (Ucayali region), activity has intensified since 2014, but the effect on erosion is unknown. present study aimed to evaluate increase in levels, at a sub-basin central–eastern Peru, Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. revised universal loss equation (RUSLE) model was used for assessing vegetation cover change from 2016 2022. (973.4 km2), average increased 3.87 4.55 t ha−1 year−1, average. addition, there great spatial variability values. 7.65% area (74.52 km2) exceeds tolerance limit (15 year−1). deforestation rate 17.99 km2 year−1 2022 forested reached 237.65 km2. conclusion, transition forest farmland related most critical Unsustainable management can be underlying explanation changes chemical physical properties. Also, social dynamic differences landscape patterns play role.
