Recent technological advancements and the advent of ever-growing databases in health care have fueled emergence "big data" analytics. Big data has potential to revolutionize care, particularly ophthalmology, given data-intensive nature medical specialty. As one leading causes irreversible blindness worldwide, glaucoma is an ocular disease that receives significant interest for developing innovations eye care. Among most vital sources visual field (VF) testing, which stands as a cornerstone diagnosing managing disease. The expanding accessibility large VF led surge studies investigating various applications big analytics glaucoma. In this study, we review use evaluating reliability tests, gaining insights into real-world clinical practices outcomes, understanding new associations risk factors, characterizing patterns loss, defining structure-function relationship glaucoma, enhancing early diagnosis or earlier detection progression, informing decisions, improving trials. Equally important, discuss current challenges future directions improvement.
