Abstract Background The optimal management of COVID-19 symptoms and their sequelae remains an important area clinical research. Policy makers have little scientific data regarding the effects on daily life affected individuals identification needs. Such are needed to inform effective care policy. Methods We studied 639 people with resident in France via online questionnaire. They reported symptoms, life, resulting needs, particular focus olfaction. Results results indicate that a majority participants viewed as disabling, affecting physical mental health, social professional lives. 60% having unmet medical, psychological socio-professional support Finally, were concerned about risk invasiveness possible treatments shown by preference for non-invasive intervention over surgery cure anosmia. Conclusions It is policy take these needs into consideration order assist regain normal quality life.
