Biobased plastics provide a sustainable alternative to conventional food packaging materials, thereby reducing the environmental impact. The present study investigated effectiveness of chitosan with varying levels Moringa oleifera seed powder (MOSP) and tannic acid (TA). Chitosan (CS) biocomposite films acted as cross-linker, served reinforcement. To enhance film performance, was introduced at various loadings 1.0, 3.0, 5.0, 10.0 wt.%. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy analyses were performed structure morphology CS/TA/MOSP films. results confirmed that chitosan/TA wt.% MOSP produced lightly miscible droplet/matrix structure. Furthermore, mechanical properties, swelling, water solubility, optical barrier, contact angle properties also calculated. With increasing contents, films’ antimicrobial antifungal activity increased level; all observed bacteria [Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Escherichia coli (E. coli), Aspergillus niger (A. niger), Candida albicans (C. albicans)] had notably percentage growth. film, content, effectively preserves strawberries’ freshness, making it an ideal material.

Hermetia illucens has received a lot of attention as its larval stage can grow on organic substrates, even those that are decomposing. Black soldier fly breeding provides variety valuable products, including frass, mixture excrements, exuviae, and leftover feedstock, be used fertilizer in agriculture. Organic fertilizers, such bringing beneficial bacteria materials into the soil, improves health fertility. This comprehensive review delves comparative analysis frass derived from larvae fed different substrates. The composition micro- macro-nutrients, pH levels, matter content, electrical conductivity, moisture proportion dry under consideration. effect feeding substrates presence potentially for plant growth within is also reported. A critical feature examined this post-application impacts crops, highlighting agricultural benefits drawbacks introducing cultivation operations. One notable categorization crops studied distinct groups, which useful to simplify comparisons future research.
