Five‐fold cross‐validation was utilized model training evaluation, average precision (AP) used as metric. The results showed that models performed better than models, Resnet152 scoring highest task. which included annotations healthy other leaves achieved an AP 84.13% lower another one but indicated applications more robustness. Abstract Fast and effective monitoring surveillance techniques are crucial for the swift implementation of control methods to prevent spread Huanglongbing, a devastating citrus disease, its invasive psyllid vector, Asian psyllid, Diaphorina citri , into South Africa, as well native African triozid, Trioza erytreae . Monitoring pests can be improved by using semiochemical odorants augment already visually attractive yellow sticky traps. However, environmental variables such temperature humidity could influence odorant release rates. Five field cages were used test ability selection improve trap efficacy in capturing psyllids. Environmental effects on loss from dispensers also investigated. The that most captures then tested under open conditions alongside lower concentrations those same lures. Citrus canker is among the major plant diseases caused by Xanthomonas citri which affects quality and quantity of citrus fruit. This results in reduction production causes a huge financial loss livelihood farming community. Thus, it critically important to build robust, accurate, time efficient detection method for real identification disease. Due their powerful learning capabilities improved feature extraction, deep approaches have made feasible carry out number tasks related leaves. Previous research has primarily focused on detecting fruits, early leaves can facilitate adoption preventive measures before disease reaches critical stage. paper proposes novel learning-based approach determining growth rate classifying into six distinct stages: water soaking, yellow chlorosis/initiation, chlorosis, blister formation, development start, infection (50% inoculated area), (100% area). The proposed involves image conversion, size reduction, augmentation, utilization DenseNet-121. Experimental demonstrate classification accuracy 98.97% using suggested approach. Accuracy was with macro precession 97%, weighted precision 99%, Macro recall 98%, F1_Score 97% 98%. study presents unique technique based different stages, while also calculating temporal change affected area Furthermore, mathematical model predict disease's at any given time, offering valuable insights management prevention.

Models transfer with Faster R-CNN architecture were constructed compared two pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models, VGGNet ResNet. Their efficiency was examined by integrating their feature extraction capabilities into Convolution Block Attention Module (CBAM) to create VGGNet+CBAM ResNet+CBAM variants. ResNet models performed best. Moreover, integration CBAM notably improved detection precision overall performance models. The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri, is a vector of the plant pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), causal agent Huanglongbing disease. HLB represents main threat to industry around world due its fast spreading, high infectivity, and incurability. An alternative for control this plague in Rutaceae implementation RNA interference (RNAi). Here, we propose novel method produce small interfering (siRNA) Escherichia coli. includes reporter system visually demonstrate dsRNA expression. We produced tested siRNAs against three D. citri genes: Abnormal Wing Disk (AWD), Superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD), Wingless (WNT). These genes play key roles psyllid development maturity, thus, represent promising targets potential control. blue coloration bacterial cultures was easily observable, it corroborated generation that same transcript. evaluated dosage efficiency siRNA using AWD siRNA. RNAi treatment evaluated, all were able induce silencing (-3.05 AWD, -2.60 SOD -2.57 WNT). plasmid effectively produces siRNAs, color facilitated check expression each dsRNA.
