In this study, the performance of different Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) variants in solving Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) equations a Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter (CHB-MLI) was compared. The SHE method consists nonlinear transcendental equations, which are particularly difficult to solve analytically high-level systems. aim study is examine overall improvements provided by PSO and specifically evaluate their effectiveness such complex engineering problems. addition standard PSO, several improved versions from literature have been considered. For each variant, optimal switching angles that were determined applied CHB-MLI model MATLAB/Simulink environment. convergence behaviors algorithms, total harmonic distortions (THD) amplitudes fundamental components output voltages analyzed statistically. As result these analyses, strengths weaknesses optimization processes revealed. Based on findings, hybrid also proposed, integrates strong features successful variants.
