Fraction is the result of fractionation process separating compounds based on polarity properties solvent. Thin layer chromatography first step in analysis to determine eluent that can produce guava leaf fractions. The fraction contains chemical play a role improving immune system. Guava leaves contain flavonoid compounds, especially quercetin. effort made find out content analyze further. Some analyses active fractions, are using phytochemical tests, UV-VIS spectrophotometry, and GC-MS. combination these three methods obtain comprehensive information about plants, from identification compound groups characteristics specific compounds. Phytochemical an initial analytical method carried examine medicinal plants. Ultra Violet-Visble (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer one composition sample, both quantitatively qualitatively, interaction between matter light. Gas Cromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) samples gas while analyzing mass spectroscopy. purpose this study contained fraction. This research uses qualitative by collecting data observation literature study. results showed fractions spectrophotometers, GC-MS, terpenoid group
