Abstract In deep-buried soft rock excavation, the stability of prestressed anchor cable system is impacted by uneven contact with rough surfaces, which affects prestress effectiveness and loss. However, influence plate deformation under varying conditions has not been systematically studied. To address this research gap, study introduces a new classification plate-rock into five types: full-face, partial-face, concave, irregular angular. The on anchorage performance was investigated through numerical simulation field tests. Results reveal non-uniform leads to significant stress concentration, deformation, increased loss in cables, quantified previous studies. addition, increasing thickness can help mitigate loss, an optimised selection approach based proposed. Using 15.5 mm effective for concave conditions, whereas 31 significantly reduces angular contacts. findings paper offer practical guidelines improving long-term systems tunnels.
