: Nanoparticle catalyzed synthesis is a green and convenient method to achieve most of the chemical transformations in water or other solvents. ensures an easy isolation process catalyst as well products from reaction mixture avoiding hectic work up procedure. Zinc oxide biocompatible, environmentally benign economically viable nanocatalyst with effectivity comparable metal employed several strategies. This review mainly focuses on recent applications zinc biologically important heterocyclic molecules under sustainable conditions. Application organic synthesis: Considering achievable advantages this nanocatalyst, presently research groups are paying attention anchoring zincoxide its modified structure types conversions e.g. multicomponent reactions, ligand-free coupling cycloaddition reaction, etc. The limitations also demonstrated. present study aims highlight multifaceted ZnO towards diverse motifs.
