The potential practical applications of high-energy 1,3,5,7-tetranittro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane (HMX) are hindered by their unfavorable safety behavior and sluggish thermal decomposition. This paper proposes dye-assisted assembly HMX crystals with crystal violet (CV) as soft templates (denoted CV-HMX). As revealed the XPS molecular-dynamics simulations, preferred electrical interactions between conjugation electrons in planar CV molecular ensure that resultant CV-HMX has a two-dimensional (2D) microstructure. BAM impact sensitivity is 12.5 ​J, higher than raw-HMX (5 ​J) recrystallized from pure water (PW-HMX; 4.5 ​J). Meanwhile, friction 320 ​N, also much PW-HMX (96 ​N) (88 ​N). In addition, decomposition kinetics improved due to its large specific surface area high pore volume. Such dye-template can be applied number systems, indicating method proposed this work universal. provides synergistic template regulation on morphology structure using general assembly, holding great promises developing practically viable energy materials favorable release performance.

Abstract Interface interaction has always been considered a major challenge in the field of desensitization. Co‐crystal explosives can balance properties energetic materials, but their limited desensitization effect limits further practical applications. Based on this, we proposed CL‐20/HMX co‐crystal by three functionalized graphene oxide (NH 2 ‐GO, Am‐GO and M550‐GO). The sensitivity results indicate that M550‐GO best To explore reasons for better M550, molecular dynamics was used to simulate binding energy mechanical different systems. showed electrostatic between enhance interfacial more than van der Waals force.
