Carbon dots (CDs) are a new cluster of carbon atoms with particle size less than 10 nm. CDs also exhibit interesting fluorescence (FL) properties. attractive because their fascinating characteristics including low toxicity, good water solubility, and tremendous biocompatibility. Recently, have been investigated as biosensors for numerous target analytes. Meanwhile, the utilization cheap renewable natural resources not only fulfills pressing requirement large-scale synthesis but encourages establishment sustainable applications. The preparation using resources, i.e., plants, offers several advantages it is inexpensive, eco-friendly, highly available in surroundings. Plant parts readily starting materials to produce different Several review articles now covering synthesis, properties, applications CDs. However, there no specific focused literature discussing plant part-derived biosensing To handle this gap, we provide progress derived from various methods, optical last five years. We highlight methods then give an overview properties biomolecules molecules biological samples. Finally, discuss some future perspectives better material development
