The unavailability of clean drinking water is one the significant health issues in modern times. Industrial dyes are dominant chemicals that make unfit for drinking. Among these dyes, methylene blue (MB) toxic, carcinogenic, and non-biodegradable can cause a severe threat to human environmental safety. It usually released natural sources, which becomes beings living organisms. Hence, there need develop an environmentally friendly, efficient technology removing MB from wastewater. Photodegradation advanced oxidation process widely used removal. has advantages complete mineralization dye into simple nontoxic species with potential decrease processing cost. This review provides tutorial basis readers working degradation research area. We not only covered basic principles but also provided wide range previously published work on photocatalytic systems (single-component multi-component photocatalysts). Our study focused critical parameters affect photodegradation rate MB, such as photocatalyst type loading, irradiation reaction time, pH media, initial concentration dye, radical scavengers oxidising agents. mechanism, pathways, intermediate products, final products summarized. An overview future perspectives utilize at industrial scale provided. paper identifies strategies development effective systems.

In the modern era, inaccessibility of safe drinking water has become a hot issue. this regard, industrial chemicals are one most well known pollutants that disturb quality and make it flabby for comsumption. Amongst these pollutants, methylene blue is noxious, persistent, oncogenic, as posing severe risk to human health environmental protection. This frequently found in natural reserviors, which turn out be hazard beings other organisms. So, necessary introduce efficient eco-friendly techniques eliminating organic dyes from wastewater. To meet goal, photodegradation been reliable approach removal dyes. It can completely mineralize into nontoxic species cost-effective way. article helps readers who interested exploring their expertise research area. our study, we address both fundamental principles explore application polymer-supported nanomaterials pollutant degradation. Industrial effluents are a leading major threat for water contamination, subsequently which results in severe health associated risks. Hence, purifying wastewater before releasing into the resources is essential to avoid contamination. In this study, ZnO/Cu-DPA nano-composites were prepared by altering percentage of Cu-DPA (20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% denoted be ZnO/20%Cu-DPA, ZnO/30%Cu-DPA, ZnO/40%Cu-DPA ZnO/50%Cu-DPA) using simple mechanical grinding process. Several spectroscopic studies employed such as electron paramagnetic analysis (EPR), powdered X-ray diffractometer (PXRD), UV-Vis absorbance spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy scanning microscope characterize these nano-composites. The photo-catalytic activities studied degrading MB under visible light irradiation. ZnO, ZnO/50%Cu-DPA degradation efficiencies determined 71.8, 78.5, 77.1, 66.1%, respectively. Among composite catalysts, ZnO/20%Cu-DPA coupled system demonstrated best efficiency (87%) photo-degradation within 80 min when exposed light. had greater photodegradation than pristine ZnO owing p-n heterojunction linked system. Under irradiation, catalysed conversion dissolved O2 hydroxyl radicals (OH·), triggering reduction MB. This suggests that ·OH primary specific active radical involved decomposition Furthermore, EPR indicates existence proposed (ZnO/20%Cu-DPA) reusability was investigated across three cycles most efficient photo-catalyst. show that, nano-catalyst potential candidate remediation dirty water.
