Abstract An acetic acid‐catalyzed [2+2+1+1] cycloaddition of 1,3,5‐triazinanes with methylene compounds was developed. This protocol provides an access to hexahydropyrimidines (HHPs) (25 examples) in 35–99% yields under mild conditions 2 hours. The potential application this method demonstrated by gram‐scale synthesis. Preliminary mechanistic investigation conducted elucidate the possible mechanism. work represents yet unknown example reaction between and active compounds.

Formaldehyde is a simple chemical compound that used as building block in obtaining wide range of products. The versatility formaldehyde synthesis becomes evident when it reacted with N-alkylethylenediamines. Therefore, this paper reports the structure and reactivity series compounds derived from easily accessible molecules, such formaldehyde, sodium hydrosulphide, 1,3,5-triazines (1a-1d) bis(3-alkyl-imidazolidin-1-yl)methanes (2a-2d) were obtained by reaction conditions. Additionally, different proportions hydrosulphide N-benzylamine to obtain N-benzyltriazinane (3), N-benzylthiadiazinane (4) N-benzyldithiazinane (5). All these characterized analytical, spectroscopic, spectrometric techniques, melting point, solubility, one-dimensional two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (13C, 1H, 15N, COSY, HETCOR, NOESY, COLOC), elemental analysis, high- low-resolution mass spectrometry, among others. structures 4 5 single-crystal X-ray diffraction. results show small variations stoichiometry conditions significantly influence products obtained.

We reported an efficient asymmetric amination of azlactones with N-aryl-N-aroyldiazenes through a chiral N,N'-dioxide-based Lewis acid catalyst. The multicoordination ability Nd(III) enabled it to simultaneously activate and locate the two reactants for N-selective addition. Hydrazine-bearing azlactone derivatives were obtained in moderate good yields high enantioselectivity.
