The high-value-added carbonates generated from CO2 have attracted the attention of more and researchers because which optimization metal–organic framework (MOF)-based catalysts has seen a considerable upsurge at present. scarcely reported cadmium(II)-based MOFs inspire us to explore CdOFs with excellent catalytic activity high reusability. Herein, unification unreported {Cd4(μ3-OH)2(CH3CO2–)} cluster 2,6-bis(2,4-dicarboxylphenyl)-4-(4-carboxylphenyl)pyridine (H5BDCP) led highly robust nanoporous crystalline material {(Me2NH2)5[Cd4(BDCP)2(μ3-OH)2(CH3CO2)(H2O)2]·3DMF·2H2O}n (NUC-67) 57.4% void volume. Structural analysis displays that inner surface channels in activated NUC-67a is functionalized by Lewis acid sites unsaturated Cd2+ ions base μ3-OH– groups, CH3CO2– anions, free pyridine, C═O groups. Under solvent-free conditions, exhibits performance on cycloaddition epoxides; for instance, conversion rate propylene oxide (PO) into carbonate (PC) 1 atm can reach 99% within 6 h 55 °C, resulting 660 turnover number 110 h–1 frequency. Moreover, Knoevenagel condensation reactions aldehydes malononitrile be efficiently catalyzed NUC-67a. The development of solar-driven organic synthesis processes as an alternative to conventional thermo-catalytic technologies is great research significance in academia and industry. Herein, we looked into the photoinduced Baeyer–Villiger oxidation cyclohexanone based on Mukaiyama method for first time. We fabricated a crystalline polyoxometalate-based metal–organic framework photocatalyst, CR-SiW12, which represents example trinuclear ruthenium clusters involved construction frameworks. was efficiently converted ε-caprolactone under visible light (>400 nm) irradiation with CR-SiW12 catalyst, reaction turnover number frequency recorded 941 274.5 h–1, respectively, apparent quantum yield at 465 nm measured be 8.4%. Moreover, exhibited high structural stability reusability where remained 91.3% after five consecutive cycles. This work offers promising strategy accomplishing reactions green conditions.

The development of high-efficient catalysts for the oxidation reaction sulfides received much attention in recent years due to extensive applications such reactions from utility pharmaceutical chemistry and biology detoxification chemical warfare agents war. Herein, we report two innovative polyoxometalate-based metal–organic frameworks (POMOFs) {[ε-PMo8VMo4VIO37(OH)3][Zn2(C10N2H8)(H2O)2]2}2·8H2O (1-α 1-β), which were characterized by elemental analysis, UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, X-ray single-crystal powder diffraction, photoelectron Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy techniques detail. Single-crystal diffraction analysis indicates that 1-α 1-β are polymorphic with identical compositions analogical structures. Compounds both connected Zn4-ε-Keggin polyoxoanions 4,4′-bipyridine (bpy) ligands form twofold interpenetrated three-dimensional POMOF can be seen as a rotational polymorph 1-α, is, takes b axis rotation rotates ∼39° clockwise obtain 1-β. Both compounds used heterogeneous catalyze selective multitudinous H2O2 an oxidant. When methyl phenyl sulfide was template reaction, yield sulfoxide is close 100% within 30 min oxidant utilization efficiency more than 93%. Gratifying catalytic effects have also been achieved aliphatic derivatives. Simultaneously, showed extraordinary degradation 2-chloroethyl ethyl half lifetime (t1/2) approximately 2.5 or 3 min, respectively, selectivity toward nontoxic product abnormally high (94.5% 94.3% 1-β) at room temperature. In addition, after seven cycles continuous cycle experiments, their structures remained activities did not decrease obviously, revealing outstanding recyclability structural stability.

A novel binuclear ruthenium-based polyoxometalate, K6H[{Ru2Cl(H2O)(CH3COO)2}{WO(H2O)}2(PW9O34)2]·14H2O (1), was successfully synthesized by the conventional hydrothermal method. Compound 1 well-characterized single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder diffraction (PXRD), infrared (IR) spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA), and elemental analysis. The structural unit of compound contains two [A-α-PW9O34]9- building blocks at upper lower positions connected W atoms Ru atoms, where are arranged in a trapezoidal arrangement bridged acetic acid. Furthermore, features characteristic absorption bands visible region, which allows investigation its photocatalytic properties light. Under simulated sunlight radiation (λ > 400 nm), exhibits high activity good circularity toward oxidative coupling amines to imines room temperature with O2 as sole oxidant.
