As one of the first studied photothermal agents, eumelanin is often used for materials based on its broadband light absorption ability, biocompatibility, and cheap availability. However, it still a challenge to conduct in-depth development effect in flexible polymeric composites due dispersion problem. Here, we report light-controlled healable reversible adhesive elastomers using polar liquid cross-linkers assist into carboxylic styrene butadiene rubber (XSBR). The uniformly dispersed coordination between Zn2+ bring elastomer satisfactory conversion efficiency (80%), even if only 1 phr added. Under near-infrared (NIR) laser irradiation 0.55 W cm–2, temperature with sharply increases from room 120 ∼190 °C (the maximum temperature) 20 90 s, respectively. Benefiting efficient ability transesterification, shows excellent NIR healing can reach 94%. Based noncovalent interactions (mainly hydrogen bonds), temperature-dependent behavior. adhesion strength be adjusted by changing or irradiating light, thus facilitating disassembly reuse elastomers. Thanks these advantages, obtained have potential applications harvesting sunlight electricity generation also provide insights sustainable materials.

Abstract Thermoset epoxy resin materials can be endowed with unique dynamic properties by introducing covalent bonds (DCB) into the cross‐link network of resin. However, it remains a challenge to obtain high mechanical, thermodynamic, and properties. In this work, series vitrimers double DCBs were prepared using curing agent imine (PAMD) an disulfide (BGPDS). PAMD BGPDS are cross‐linked form uniform aromatic framework that ensures mechanical thermal material. High‐density ensure performance vitrimer. addition, tetra‐needle‐like ZnO whiskers (T‐ZnOw) added vitrimer for further reinforcement. The results demonstrated composites T‐ZnOw content 10 wt.% exhibit tensile strength, T g , healing efficiency, shape reconfiguration, reprocessing rapid degradation. degradation products recycle produce new vitrimer, leading closed‐loop recycling which reduced environmental pollution resource waste.

Abstract Vitrimer materials have attained great interest owing to their sustainable functions and distinctive physical properties. Compared with conventional cross‐linked materials, the thermoplastic‐like nature, such as stress relaxation creep at high temperatures, is outstanding, which activation of bond exchange in network. The temperature exchange, so‐called topology freezing ( T v ), are treated important material parameters, non‐isothermal (i.e., temperature‐ramp) test one method determine . This study investigates effects network defects, that is, breaking point connectivity, on transesterification vitrimer samples varying fraction defects designed using thiol‐epoxy click reaction, where overall units, ester hydroxyl group, kept constant. Non‐isothermal tests conducted temperature‐ramp rate applied levels, difference behaviors > discussed terms strand diffusion during chain elongation under stress.
