Activated carbon is the preferred adsorbent for gas and water treatment in various industry across world due to its efficiency, reliability, accessibility. Recently, Malaysia, studies are mainly focused on fabrication of activated from lignocellulosic biomass-based precursors agricultural waste such as coconut shell, rice husk, palm kernel shell. a two-step process; precursor will first undergo carbonization, then, activation carried out either physically or chemically develop porous surface adsorption purposes. The main benefit customizable pore structure different utilization, which can be easily achieved by chemical process. types concentration chemicals used activation, pre-treatment precursor, duration process, mass ratio proven effectively influence resulting structure. However, process harmful environment. Thus, recovery necessary after Nonetheless, more in-depth research producing abundant biomass materials with bio-based agents needed achieve an ecological sustainable manufacturing

Abstract Iron Oxide-commercial activated carbon nanocomposite (CAC-IO) was prepared from commercial (CAC) by the co-precipitation method, and resulting used as an adsorbent to remove hexavalent chromium (Cr 6+ ) ions Mordant Violet 40 (MV40) dye wastewater. The produced materials (CAC, CAC after oxidation, CAC-IO) were comparatively characterized using FTIR, BET, SEM, EDX TEM, VSM, XRD techniques. adsorption mechanism of Cr MV40 on CAC-IO examined Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models.. Different models applied know it obtained that Pseudo-second order fits experimental data better. The indiscriminate release of chromium-saturated effluent into water bodies has raised concerns regarding its effect on human health and environmental ecology. Therefore, this research aimed to remove hexavalent chromium from an aqueous solution utilizing activated carbon developed Rumex abyssinicus. adsorbent was prepared through chemical impregnation with H3PO4 then thermally at 500 for 2 h. optimization the adsorption experiments performed using Box‒Behnken approach response surface methodology. characterization revealed good quality in terms amorphous structure, maximum specific area 1722.9 m2/g porous surface. Furthermore, results showed that a removal efficiency 95.97% attained optimum working pH 3, contact time 60 min, initial concentration 70 mg/L dosage 0.6 mg/100 mL. Langmuir isotherm model found have best fit experimental data. Moreover, kinetics study pseudo-second-order data best, indicating occurrence chemisorption. Overall, suggested abyssinicus could be effective removing solutions.
