Indium, copper, and mercury are important raw materials in the electronics industry often coexist factory wastewater. In the crystal structure of title compound, {[Co(C 11 H 9 NSO 5 )(C 10 N 3 )]0.5C 7 NO·H 2 O} n or {[Co(dmtb)(dpa)]·0.5DMF·H (dmtb 2– = 5-[(dimethylamino)thioxomethoxy]-1,3-benzenedicarboxylate and dpa 4,4′-dipyridylamine), an assembly periodic [Co(C )] layers extending parallel to bc plane is present. Each layer constituted by distorted [CoO 4 ] octahedra, which are connected through μ -coordination modes both dmtb ligands. Occupationally disordered water dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent molecules located in voids network they hydrogen-bonding interactions.
