The aim of this study is to prepare new cellulose derivatives that show good feasibility and processability. Accordingly, in study, we demonstrate Michael addition hydroxyalkyl acrylates, is, 2-hydroxyethyl 4-hydroxybutyl acrylates (HEA HBA, respectively), synthesize amorphous under alkaline conditions. reactions were carried out the presence LiOH ionic liquid (1-butyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium chloride)/N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solvents at room temperature or 50 °C for 1 h. Fourier transform infrared 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements products supported progress addition; however, degrees substitution (DS) not high (0.3–0.6 HEA 0.6 HBA). powder X-ray diffraction analysis indicated their nature. cellulosic adduct from with DS = was swollen polar organic liquids, such as DMF. In swelling these HBA soluble dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), leading its NMR DMSO-d6. This found form a cast film flexible properties DMSO solutions. Furthermore, films containing an liquid, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride, showed thermoplasticity. approach quite effective totally reduce crystallinity, processability materials, even low DS. addition, present thermoplastic will be applied practical, bio-based, eco-friendly fields.

An investigation into the corrosion inhibition properties of L-tryptophan (TP) and 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan (5-OH-TP) for mild steel in a 1.0 M HCl acidic medium was conducted using experimental theoretical methods. Results obtained from polarization curve measurements reveal that TP 5-OH-TP are effective mixed-type inhibitors, exhibiting highest efficiencies 91.22% 94.05%, respectively, at temperature 293 K concentration 10
