As a stable, low-cost, environment-friendly, and gas-sensitive material, semiconductor metal oxides have been widely used for gas sensing. In the past few years, single-atom catalysts (SACs) gained increasing attention in field of sensing with advantages maximized atomic utilization unique electronic chemical properties successfully applied to enhance detection sensitivity selectivity oxide sensors. However, application SACs sensors is still its infancy. Herein, we critically review recent advances current status sensors, providing some suggestions development this field. The synthesis methods characterization techniques SAC-modified are summarized. interactions between crucial stable loading improving performance.
