C10 massoia lactone (C10) is the main component of essential oil derived from Cryptocarya plant bark, which used as natural flavoring agent “generally recognized safe” status. In this study, developmental toxicity was evaluated on zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos at an exposure level 0–2000 µg·L−1, and acute determined with respect to lethal effects, hatching rates, morphological changes. Additionally, changes were for endpoints occurrence yolk edema, pericardial spine curvature, shortened body length after treatment until 96 h post-fertilization (hpf). The complete lethality achieved treated 2000 most 1000 µg·L−1 developed edemas some curvature. Some exhibited delayed development when compared control. Hatchability completely accomplished tested dose cardiac malformation observed using a transgenic line Tg(cmlc:EGFP), lower heartbeat rate in 72 hpf. After hpf, rates normalized control group, two development-related genes such nppa canca1 differently expressed C10-treated by 2.3-fold 0.4-fold, respectively. Therefore, must be studied further other higher organisms its risk.

The increasing use of UV filters, such as benzophenone-3 (BP-3) and titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs), has raised concerns regarding their ecotoxicological effects on the aquatic environment. aim present study was to examine embryo-larval toxicity attributed BP-3 or TiO2 NPs, either alone in a mixture, utilizing zebrafish (Danio rerio) model after exposure environmentally relevant concentrations these compounds. Zebrafish embryos were exposed (10, 100, 1000 ng/L) NPs (1000 mixture (BP-3 10, ng/L plus NPs) under static conditions for 144 hr. After exposure, levels determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). increased presence indicating that degradation decreased NPs. In addition, zebrafish, water decreased, larvae might absorb BP-3. Data demonstrated that, general, did not significantly induce changes heart spontaneous contractions frequencies, reactive oxygen species (ROS), morphological morphometric parameters well mortality rates during hr exposure. However, groups with at 10 exhibited an earlier significant hatching rate than controls. Altogether, data indicates potential impact environment exists.
