Abstract Dye wastewater is high‐concentration salt‐containing chemical wastewater. It contains numerous toxic pollutants that are difficult to degrade, and its direct discharge without treatment will cause serious environmental problems. Herein, ZIF‐8/GO adsorbent was prepared by the one‐pot method purify containing Congo red dye (CR). possessed an S BET of 70.252 m 2 /g, pore volume 0.036 cm 3 size 3.22 nm. Adsorption experiments were performed based on various parameters, such as pH, concentration, dose, temperature, salt concentration. The results showed adsorption capacity better than ZIF‐8 GO for CR, which process 0.1‐ZIF‐8/GO (10.0 mg) CR (50 mg/L) reached equilibrium in 60 min at 35 °C under high‐salt parameter (10 g/L NaCl). And maximum removal ratio up 98%. data fitted using Langmuir, Freundlich isotherm models pseudo‐first‐order, pseudo‐second‐order kinetics model liquid film diffusion model, intra‐particle model. indicated quasi‐second‐order kinetic more suitable describe ZIF‐8/GO. possesses a high it has promising applications salts‐containing

The fate of residual graphite derived from hydrometallurgical treatment spent Lithium-ion batteries remains uncertain. This study dwells on the aim identifying potentialities recycling for wastewater treatment. Graphite was recovered hydrometallurgically, and new adsorption materials: oxide (GO) graphene (GrO) were synthesized using chemical oxidization method. Synthesized materials showed higher interlayer spacings (GO= 0.81 nm, GrO=0.78 nm) than commercially available similar materials. Adsorption studies revealed capacities both dye (>550 mg/g in all cases) metal ions (highest ∼93mg/g Ni2+ lowest ∼68mg/g Zn2+). GrO superior results GO due to its high surface area porosity despite having more functional groups. Moreover, produced about 97% removal 94% contaminated metals which are performance existing commercial or These findings highlight promising capabilities waste suggest potential as a substitute natural graphite.
