Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality in United States, with rising incidence and mortality. The receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) its ligands significantly contribute to pancreatic progression by enhancing cell proliferation, fostering treatment resistance, promoting a pro-tumor microenvironment via activation nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathways. This study validated pathway human evaluated therapeutic efficacy TTP488 (Azeliragon), small-molecule RAGE inhibitor, alone combination radiation therapy (RT) preclinical models cancer.
