Photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic (PDT) are potential cancer treatment methods that minimally invasive with high specificity for malignant cells. Emerging research has concentrated on the application of metal nanoparticles encapsulated in porphyrin their derivatives to improve efficacy these treatments. Gold silver have distinct optical properties biocompatibility, which makes them efficient materials PDT PTT. Conjugation increases light absorption singlet oxygen generation create a synergistic effect phototoxicity against Porphyrin encapsulation gold or improves solubility, stability, targeted tumor delivery. This paper provides comprehensive review design, functionalization, uses plasmonic biomedicine how they can be conjugated porphyrins therapeutic effects. Furthermore, it investigates this dual-modal therapy's advantages disadvantages offers perspectives future prospects. The possibility developing gold, silver, nanotechnology-enabled combination is also examined.

ABSTRACT Iron‐based nanomaterials (IBNMs) have been widely applied in biomedicine applications including magnetic resonance imaging, targeted drug delivery, tumor therapy, and so forth, due to their unique magnetism, excellent biocompatibility, diverse modalities. Further research on its enormous biomedical potential is still ongoing, new features are constantly being tapped demonstrated. Among them, various types of IBNMs demonstrated significant cancer therapy capabilities by regulating the microenvironment (TME). In this review, a variety iron oxide‐based (IONMs), iron‐based complex conjugates (ICCs), single atom (ISANMs) will be introduced, advantages TME would also emphasized. Besides, recent progress for diagnosis treatment through strategy modulating summarized, overcoming hypoxia, acidity, decreasing redox species, immunoregulation. Finally, challenges opportunities field briefly discussed. This review expected contribute future design development next‐generation TME‐modulate treatment.

Abstract Proteins have emerged as promising therapeutics in oncology due to their great specificity. Many treatment strategies are developed based on protein biologics, such immunotherapy, starvation therapy, and pro‐apoptosis while some biologics entered the clinics. However, clinical translation is severely impeded by instability, short circulation time, poor transmembrane transportation, immunogenicity. Micro‐ nano‐particles‐based drug delivery platforms designed solve those problems enhance therapeutic efficacy. This review first summarizes different types of proteins research stages, highlighting administration limitations. Next, various micro‐ nano‐particles described demonstrate how they can overcome The potential then explored efficacy combinational therapies. Finally, challenges future directions carriers discussed for optimized delivery.
