Abstract
During
the
past
decade,
radical
difluoromethylation
has
emerged
as
a
powerful
and
versatile
tool
for
incorporation
of
difluoromethyl
into
various
organic
compounds.
These
reactions
feature
mild
reaction
conditions,
very
good
functional
group
compatibilities,
quite
broad
substrate
scopes,
thus
having
drawn
much
attention
got
rapid
developments.
A
diverse
range
precursors
have
been
developed
series
reactions.
This
review
summarizes
discusses
advance
in
reactions,
which
are

according
to
protocols
generating
radical.

Abstract
Visible‐light
assisted
a
very
simple
and
mild
protocol
for
photocatalytic
oxidative
transformation
of
thioamide
to
amide
group
has
been
realized
in
cyclic
system.
For
this
purpose
5‐arylalkylidene‐rhodanine
derivatives
were
chosen
as
model
substrates
afford
thiazolidine‐2,4‐diones.
Light
mediated
reactions
are
intrinsically
beneficial,
since
activation
occurs
by
cleanest
energy
source
light.
Here
K
2
S
O
8
is
used
terminal
oxidant
which
does
not
leave
any
hazardous
corrosive
waste
discard
after
the
reaction
fostering
practices
green
chemistry.
This
first
report
conversion
thioxo
rhodanine
into
corresponding
oxygen
analogue
visible
light
photo‐catalytic
method.
The
was
general
various
5‐arylalkylidene‐rhodanines
underwent
smoothly
affording
high
product
yields.
Moreover,
broadness
further
established
applying
on
other
systems
like
3,4‐dihydropyrimidine‐2(1H)‐(thio)ones.

Abstract
A
photocatalyst‐free
photoinduced
radical
difluoromethylation
approach
for
the
convenient
synthesis
of
difluoromethylated
oxindoles
from
N
‐arylacrylamides
with
difluoromethyl
phenoxathiinium
salt
(PT‐CF
2
H
+
BF
4
−
)
was
developed,
this
transformation
involves
difluoromethylation/cyclization
cascade
process
and
features
photocatalyst‐free,
mild
reaction
conditions,
broad
substrate
scope
good
functional
groups
tolerance.
With
method,
a
wide
variety
were
successfully
converted
to
desired
in
excellent
yields.
