All-solid-state batteries suffer from a loss of contact between the electrode and electrolyte particles, leading to poor cyclability. Here, void-free ion-permeable interface solid-state polymer is constructed in situ during cycling using charge/discharge voltage as stimulus. During charge-discharge, permeation phase fills voids at penetrates electrode, forming strong bonds with cathode effectively mitigating problem. Our all-solid-state potassium ion maintain high Coulombic efficiency more than 2000 cycles operating 4.5 volt stably cycle 500 even 4.6 volt. rational design for problem versatile, demonstrated by scalability graphite-based potassium-ion pouch cells lithium-ion batteries.

We investigated the surprising ionic conductivity trend of a series hybrid complexes based on lithium iodide (LiI) associated with different size crown ethers. Through combination experimental and theoretical methods, LiI were characterized to rationalize unexpected tendency conductivity. Our findings revealed that solvation structure complex ethers is influenced by ether. Consequently, affects transport properties. Notably, we observed unique sandwich-like formed between two 12C4 molecules Li cation during classical NVT molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, which rarely larger Based this observation, postulate idiosyncratic [Li ⊂ 12C4][I] increases ratio SSIP structure, ultimately resulting in higher compared 15C5][I], despite 15C5 ether than 12C4. also propose hypothesis, MD adjusting can potentially enhance transference number.
