Compound 7f exhibited cytotoxicity to A549 cells, inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in a dose-dependent manner. It also interacted with ATP binding sites of CDK2/cyclin A CDK5/p25, activated procaspase 6 through stable zinc chelation.
