A
hexanuclear
palladium
cluster
supported
by
two
silylene
units
was
readily
linked
molecules
of
a
linear
ditopic
isocyanide
to
afford
coordination
polymer
that
retained
the
core
Pd6(SiPh2)2Cl2
framework.
The
obtained
exhibited
good
performance
as
heterogeneous
catalyst
in
hydrogenation
various
alkenes
common
organic
solvents
and
protic
such
H2O.
Furthermore,
showed
sufficient
stability
during
order
for
it
be
recycled
reused.

Multipalladium
clusters
possess
peculiar
structures
and
synergistic
effects
for
reactivity
selectivity.
Herein,
C3-symmetric
tripalladium
(1,
0.5
mol
%)
afford
C2-regioselective
SMCC
of
2,4-dibromopyridine
with
phenylboronic
acids
or
pinacol
esters
(C2:C4
up
to
98:1),
in
contrast
Pd(OAc)2
ligand-free
conditions.
In
addition,
similar
C2-selectivity
was
achieved
Sonogashira,
Negishi,
Kumada
coupling
reactions.
This
method
highlights
their
powerful
catalytic
ability,
exclusive
C2-selectivity,
broad
substrate
scope,
efficient
amplification,
multiple
ligand-exchange
feasibility
demonstrates
that
the
conventional
sites
could
be
successfully
regulated
even
reversed
by
catalysts.

We
report
the
synthesis
and
solid-state
characterization
of
two
unusual
Pd2Zn2
clusters
formed
from
partial
reduction
[PdL2Cl2]
precursors
(L2
=
dcpe
or
dppe)
with
metallic
zinc.
The
new
have
been
characterized
by
single
crystal
X-ray
diffraction
contain
a
Pd2Zn2Cl3
core
capped
chelating
phosphine
ligands
Zn
in
formal
+1.5
oxidation
state.
While
they
possess
near
tetrahedral
arrangement
metal
ions,
calculations
bonding
analysis
(NBO,
AIM)
suggest
that
there
is
limited
Zn-
-
-Zn
these
species.
Characterization
solution
state
suggestive
dynamic
behavior
on
dissolution,
both
diamagnetic
paramagnetic
species
observed
NMR
EPR
spectroscopy.
One
was
shown
to
be
an
effective
precursor
for
homocoupling
aryl
bromide.

Abstract
Small‐sized
palladium
nanoparticles
(PdNPs)
are
highly
active
nanocatalysts
and
have
attracted
great
interest
for
many
years.
However,
preparing
size‐controllable
PdNPs
is
still
challenging.
Here,
ultrafine
air‐stable
PdNPs‐1/2
(2.0
±
0.3/1.2
0.4
nm)
stabilized
by
multiple
nucleophilic
ligands
(phosphines,
thiols,
anions)
were
prepared,
their
sizes
could
be
successfully
regulated
simply
varying
anionic
(SbF
6
−
or
BF
4
).
We
further
investigated
catalytic
activities
compared
them
with
identically
ligated
tri‐palladium
clusters
[Pd
3
]
+
‐1/2
.
These
homogeneous
presented
superior
both
the
Suzuki–Miyaura
cross‐coupling
(SMCC)
4‐nitrophenol
reduction
reactions.
The
PdNPs‐1
exhibited
highest
activity
reactions
good
applicability
to
different
substrates,
reaction
rate
constant
reached
1.10
×
10
−2
S
−1
reduction.
results
revealed
that
employment
of
significantly
affects
size
synergistic
activities.
This
work
will
open
possibilities
controllable
size,
dispersity,
stability
a
broad
range
applications.
