Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) emerge as promising electrode materials for next‐generation electrochemical energy‐storage devices. In the present study, vanadium disulfide (VS 2 ), an underexplored TMD, is investigated material supercapacitors. VS nanosheets are synthesized via a single‐step hydrothermal method at 220 °C 24 h. Multiple characterization techniques, including Fourier‐transform infrared, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope–energy dispersive X‐ray analysis, and transmission microscope, confirm formation of phase‐pure with hexagonal structure. The specific surface area, measured using Brunauer–Emmett–Teller 12 m g −1 . A capacitance 106 F current density 1 demonstrated symmetric supercapacitors fabricated these nanosheets. Using this device, energy 34 Wh kg power 800 W achieved. Moreover, supercapacitor maintains 94% retention after 9000 charge–discharge cycles 5 , highlighting potential efficient applications.
