Most bioplastics are based on polysaccharides, which either synthesized from a variously sourced monomer or extracted some biomass waste. In many cases, lignocellulosic fibers then added to the obtained form biocomposites and extend their range of applications beyond packaging films generically easily biodegradable materials. Plant-extracted tannins, which, as such, might also be building blocks for bioplastics, do nonetheless represent useful complement in production when polysaccharide-based plastics biocomposites, since they offer other functions, such bioadhesion, coloration, biocidal effect. The variety species used tannin extraction condensation is becoming very wide connected with local availability amounts bio-waste productions, food system. This work tries summarize evolution recent developments increasing centrality plastics, adhesives, natural fiber composites.
