Abstract BACKGROUND Carbon dioxide‐assisted propane dehydrogenation (CO 2 ‐ODP) is a promising advanced technology for propylene production. However, significant challenge still remains in advancing the adsorption and activation of CO , as hydrogenolysis oligomerization isomerization reactions severely constrain RESULTS In this work, we introduce Ga second metal promoter into Pt/SiO catalysts, effectively promoting dispersion active particles significantly reducing their size, thereby enhancing catalytic activity. Meanwhile, impregnation also promotes ultimately accelerating reverse gas–water shift reaction. CONCLUSION The yield conversion Pt–Ga 1 /SiO catalyst increased up to 40.45% 45.10%, respectively, which were 17.54 6.62 times higher than those pristine SiO –Pt at weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) = 3.1 h −1 . Most notably, C 3 H 6 selectivity –Pt/Ga remarkably achieved an impressive value 99.04%, was much that other bimetallic‐based thus providing valuable guidance rational development bimetallic highly ‐ODP catalysts. © 2025 Society Chemical Industry (SCI).
