Abstract This study investigates the effects of graphene oxide (GO) and silver nanoparticle (AgNP) composite (GO-AgNP) on digestive physiology gut ultrastructure Acheta domesticus (house cricket) during extended exposure. Various concentrations GO-AgNP were tested to assess their impact food consumption, assimilation, cell status (Dead Cells ROS + cells), enzyme activity, structural damage cells. Concentration exposure time had significant oxidative stress, structure. The applied reduced cumulative consumption assimilation efficiency. Enzyme assays showed that lower enhanced carbohydrate-degrading while higher inhibited protease activity. Histological analysis revealed epithelial cells signs autophagy or necrosis at concentrations. These results suggest GO AgNPs contribute cycle disruption, apoptosis, with having a potentially stronger effect than GO. disturbed activity may result from conformational changes caused by agglomeration. findings underline potential risks associated environmental agricultural use composites.
