To more accurately grasp the current status and trends in density functional theory (DFT) study of iron sulfur compounds, this paper presents a bibliometric analysis 821 documents from 2000 to 2023. The literature source is Web Science (WOS) core data set. results show that China country with highest publication volume (247, 30.09%). number total citations for USA (8360). field primarily involves three disciplinary categories Chemistry Physical (322, 39.22%), Multidisciplinary (194, 23.62%), Materials (177, 21.55%). There an increasing trend publications per year. Quantum chemical analysis, structure crystal surfaces effect mechanism iron–sulfur clusters on enzyme-catalyzed reactions are knowledge base field. research hotspots mainly four areas: DFT calculations compounds properties, redox properties clusters, calculation electronic structures, surface adsorption compounds. occurrences keyword FeS2 has increased significantly over time, followed by variation "adsorption" "pyrite," which also apparent. Oxidative behavior studies sulfide environmental water oxygen frontier. This can help readers quickly understand field's development provide guideline future.
