Abstract The metastatic cascade is a complicated process where cancer cells travel across multiple organs distant from their primary site of onset. Despite the wide acceptance ‘seed and soil’ theory, mechanisms driving metastasis organotropism remain mystery. Using breast different subtypes as disease model, we characterized ‘metastatic profile cells’ ‘redox status organ microenvironment’ determinants organotropism. Mechanically, identified positive correlation between metabolic plasticity stemness, proposed oxidative stress selection power succeeding cascade. Therapeutically, use pro-oxidative therapeutics in ablating taking advantages this fragile moment during metastasis. We comprehensively reviewed current strategies for treating cancers that cover first line chemo- radio-therapies, approaches relying on naturally existing including magnetic field, electric light sound, nanoparticle-based anti-cancer composites obtained through artificial design, well cold atmospheric plasma an innovative multi-modal modality. discussed possible combinations with oncology prior to forecast future research directions. This paper fundamental mechanics intervention accordingly. Insights provided here may offer clues design solutions open new paradigm treatment.
