Four zinc(II) complexes were synthesized by the coordinating Zn2+ ions with novel aromatic hydrazone ligands. Based on spectral analyses, molecular ratio of Zn(II) to ligands was established as 1:2, and a tetrahedral geometry around zinc metal center proposed for complexes. The probably coordinated via carbonyl oxygen deprotonated salicyl ring. fluorescence spectra analyzed in dichloromethane, revealing that various substituents generated blue shift maximum emissions corresponding inhibition α-glucosidase compounds evaluated, based antidiabetic activity results, demonstrate superior efficacy compared
