Abstract Plasma–liquid systems are best recognised in biomedicine, where the generation of plasma‐treated water and complex organic‐containing solutions affords biological effects. However, plasma interactions with liquids more diverse. In this review, we look from chemical point view at three fields plasma–liquid interaction which is used to convert organic substrates. wastewater treatment, decomposes substances: selectivity towards specific products less crucial than process energy costs. conversion for sustainable purposes, carbon hydrogen syngas important, but these still destructive reactions yielding small molecules. Finally, provide a comprehensive application list synthetic chemistry discuss their mechanisms limitations.
